Lateral is delighted to announce a new partnership with the Security Industry Authority (SIA) - an executive non-departmental public body, sponsored by the Home Office.
Lateral’s CTO Ian McManus stated: “Lateral are thrilled to be providing web-based legal case management software to the SIA. We understand that the SIA have the highest security standards, which are central to their work, and ours. And we look forward to establishing a long and secure partnership with them”. Ian continued, “we’ve designed case management software that streamlines processes, captures all bill-able time, and manages the whole legal workflow through appeals and prosecutions. It’s a product we’re incredibly proud of, and we very much look forward sharing our skills with the Security Industry Authority”.
Lateral’s software will handle all communication, namely document management and automation, legal workflows, appeals, and prosecutions. The SIA will efficiently manage practice related tasks from a single Lateral platform. The cloud-based software includes legal accounting, client and matter management, document management and time recording amongst its features. One of Lateral’s greatest strength is its integration capabilities. Lateral can easily integrate to other systems using its API Web Services, or connecting to third party web services. For legacy systems, Lateral has built a bespoke data exchange system. As ever, Lateral’s emphasis is on building software which meet the client’s needs, not asking the client to change their working practices to meet the confines of the software.
As a statutory organisation responsible for regulating the private security industry in the UK, it’s not surprising that the SIA partnered with Lateral, since Lateral is fully complaint with international data protection standards, and the company reached ISO 27001 in 2013. Their secure private cloud technology boasts 256-Bit SSL Security.
